Timothy Leary (1920–1996) was an American psychologist and counterculture icon famous for his advocacy of psychedelic drugs. A Harvard professor, he sparked a cultural revolution with his experiments before being fired. He later popularized the catchphrase “Turn on, tune in, drop out” and was famously labeled “the most dangerous man in America” by Richard Nixon.
